Navigating the funding landscape for research in Low-to-middle-income countries and marginalised groups at DISC Unconference 2025

The Diversity and Inclusion in Scientific Computing (DISC) Unconference aims to produce tools and facilitate activities that will lead to a more diverse and inclusive open-source scientific computing community. In this workshop, we incorporated a systems thinking approach to understand the complexities of the research funding ecosystem and identify “leverage points” – places to intervene for significant impact to address systemic inequities in research funding.
